Rebound a new portfolio, with better results than the original. Mounted all my photographs, printed four cyanotypes and created labels for everything on my sweet little unused photo printer. It looks snazzy, pictures to come.
The cyanotypes were especially satisfying, as I seem to have finally gotten the hang of exposing them long enough to get decent prints from less-than-contrasty Polaroid negatives. This makes me happy – and the results are cleaner and more detailed. I did a print of the Wonder Horse from a really battered negative that is just delightful, really ghostly and mysterious.
I need to get some more brown bottles so I can mix up my kallitype sensitizer (really, it’s a Van Dyke Brown kit, but it’s much faster to type “kallitype”).
