polaroid transfers – the Federalist house

October 26, 2003

As promised, two examples of the photos I took this week. The film was expired, so I didn’t expect much, and since all of my transfers are done on the spot straight from the camera, the results are a lot more gritty than most professional photographers would accept. I prefer them this way – they are a direct representation of the moment I took the picture and are unique. I did five image transfers and will do five emulsion transfers now that the pictures have “cured” for a couple of days.

The second attic.

The facade. There is some strange black spotting where the transfer didn’t complete, due to the expired film. Just makes it look a little creepy to me, which isn’t a bad thing.

When I’ve finished the emulsion transfers from this shoot I’ll do up a whole little narrative of it for Utopian.net like I did with the Wonder Horse shoot a few years ago, for my own reference. I’ll post a link here when it’s done.
