saturday morning

October 11, 2003

Spent the day out with the girls yesterday. We went to the new tea shop in Westport – it was good. Minimalist, but good. We sampled Plum Oolong, Earl Grey Supreme, and an herbal tea made from plain dried lotus blossoms. The last tasted of artichoke.

The rest of the night was just watching movies, hanging out, eating dinner. J. had a hard day at the racetrack yesterday, so hopefully today for him will be full of nothing, lots of it so that he can relax.

I went to bed early with J. last night, tumbling in at 12:30. Naturally that meant I was wide awake at 5:30, and have been up ever since. I’m avoiding my wreck of a kitchen by working on the dream house pages for Utopian.net. Kings of Convenience are singing softly to me, and the sunrise this morning was brilliant crimson. My shamrock is not only thriving, but is growing a new leaf. My roses are blooming.

Today is full of promise.
