TIRED.

November 12, 2004

I arrived in Kansas City at 9pm Monday night. By 2am this morning, I had put in my forty hours for the week. I am tired. (That does not count the work I have been doing for Illo Friday.com, which has been my treat every evening after a long, hard day.)

another sunday morning

October 31, 2004

I didn’t even get my day of the dead table set up this year. Spent all day yesterday shopping for office stuff and getting it set up in my room. I have a new worktable comprised of a countertop and sawhorses, and J and I put together a literature organizer from Office Max. I was Read more >>

Technosiren

October 25, 2004

In 2000 I purchased the domain Technosiren.com* with the idea that I would create a repository of HTML & CSS tips and tricks for all the people who had been asking me. I never got around to it, and let the domain lapse a year or two later. Well, last week I was categorizing my Read more >>

the best part

October 15, 2004

Two weeks ago I bought a 12 DVD collection of early horror films at my local technomart. I bought it because I am filthily in love with Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney (Sr.) and Bela Lugosi and because in my formative years during autumn I would come home from school and watch Frankenstein and Dracula to Read more >>

October 11, 2004

In celebration of the first pomegranate of the year, which I ate speedily on Saturday, I present this little silver pomegranate. It is my first attempt at making things with precious metal clay. Not bad, considering it was initially a ring that crumbled, and that the clay is fairly difficult to work with if it’s Read more >>

NOW WITH VISUALS

October 8, 2004

Ooh! Pictures! The painting on the easel was a field of blue prepped canvas for about the last two months. Last night I sat down and painted the first layer of a lady. I am interested to see how it turns out in a few months. The cafe painting next to it never was hung Read more >>

I’m still near

October 8, 2004

Hi! This has been my longest hiatus from LJ. I announced my one-year anniversary and then promptly clammed up. I have an evening to myself and Lebowski on the DVD player. I kept myself from posting, because the last month has been 65-80 hour work weeks with nothing getting accomplished. That usually makes me frantically Read more >>

TATTOO!!!

September 12, 2004

Oh Jesus, did it hurt. I took them this page out of my sketchbook, and told them how many flowers I wanted. They ignored me. I told them I wanted it about four inches wide. They told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, and that I needed it to be bigger because Read more >>
